Bar’s Leaks Liquid Aluminum Radiator & Heater Core Stop Leak is an easy solution to fix many heater core leaks.
Holly, Mich. — Heater core leaks are becoming more common and increasingly expensive to repair. Bar’s Leaks® Liquid Aluminum™ Radiator & Heater Core Stop Leak can save your customers money by chemically repairing many heater core leaks, without the time-consuming and costly process of removing the vehicle dash.
“The amount of aftermarket electrical equipment in today’s vehicles has grown exponentially over the last 15 to 20 years,” says Clay Parks, Bar’s Leaks vice president of development. “Along with that growth has come a corresponding increase in heater core damage caused by electrolysis from stray electrical current finding its way into the cooling system. In fact, electrolysis is the leading cause of early heater core failure. Mechanically replacing a heater core generally calls for removing the dash, evacuating the system, and completely disassembling the heater box and ductwork. That’s a lot of labor, adding up to a repair bill that can range from $1,000 to $1,500. In contrast, our Bar’s Leaks Liquid Aluminum sells for less than $10. You just add it to the cooling system, idle the engine for 10 to 20 minutes, and your repair is done. You don’t even have to drain the antifreeze first.”
Bar’s Leaks Liquid Aluminum (P/N 1186) is part of Bar’s Leaks’ “next generation stop leak line” of products that not only seal leaks, but also conditions the cooling system for protection against future leaks. It contains the proprietary wetting agent Xtreme Cool™, which stops overheating, improves heat transfer and reduces coolant temperature.
In addition to repairing heater core leaks, Bar’s Leaks Liquid Aluminum is guaranteed to safely and easily seal leaks in plastic, aluminum and metal (copper/steel) radiators, gaskets and freeze plugs. It works in cars, trucks, vans, SUVs and RVs. It is compatible with all types of coolant, including yellow, orange, pink, red, blue and green silicate-based and non-silicate-based (OAT/HOAT) antifreeze and/or water. It will not harm the cooling system when properly installed, nor will it clog the heater core.
Like all Bar’s Leaks products, Liquid Aluminum is made in the U.S.A. It is available to distribution in case packs of six bottles. The label includes directions in both English and Spanish.
