Speaking session illustrates how the battle for the OBDII port is heating up
Norcross, Ga. August 4, 2016 – Shawn Inks, Mobile Performance Driver at EasyCare, will be presenting at the Digital Dealer 21 Conference & Expo educational session on Aug. 9, addressing one of the most critical challenges that dealerships are currently facing: Telephone, insurance and various other multi-million dollar corporations are competing to place OBDII devices into the 262 million vehicles on U.S. roads today, with the intent to capture the owners loyalty and to market all aspects of the automotive experience, especially service, to them OUTSIDE of the dealership.
“Dealers really need to recognize this major shift across the industry and take action,” said Inks. “Securing the OBDII port in their customers’ vehicles isn’t just important – it’s absolutely vital for maintaining service retention and customer loyalty in today’s market and keeping their customers engaged thru the ownership cycle.”
The speaking session, titled “Win the War for Your Customer’s Attention: Owning the OBDII Port Will Help Your Dealership Create Lifelong Customers,” will take place on Aug. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. in room #115.
Digital Dealer 21 Conference & Expo, which is taking place in Las Vegas from August 8-10, is the leading digital automotive platform that showcases the latest tactics in dealer sales, marketing and online strategies from the industry’s most progressive thought leaders.
