Victory Automotive Group Purchases California Dealership
The Tim Lamb Group recently brokered the sale of Harvey Auto Group’s San Leandro Mazda dealership to the Victory Automotive Group.
The deal, finalized Oct. 21, is Victory’s 53rd store in the United States, their 21st in California, and their very first Mazda brand store. San Leandro Mazda is now known as Victory Mazda San Leandro.
The family-owned Harvey Auto Group was started by Ken Harvey with his first motorcycle shop back in 1954. Over 50 years later, the Harvey Auto Group currently consists of four Honda stores and two Mazda stores in Northern California. The sale of San Leandro Mazda will allow Ken and his son Taz to focus their efforts on running their remaining dealership locations.
The Mazda store includes a 13,000 sq. foot Showroom and 32,000 sq. feet of a parts and service center which includes 14 bays. Staffing at Victory Mazda San Leandro will include a mixture of San Leandro Mazda’s 40+ employees as well members from the Victory Automotive team.
Victory Automotive Group a family-owned company, started over 25 years ago by Jeffrey Cappo, is headquartered in Canton, MI. Victory has over 50 locations in eleven states including Ohio, Michigan, California, Massachusetts, Florida, Texas, Indiana, Tennessee, West Virginia, North Carolina, Illinois, and Missouri.
Norm Reeves Acquires Texas Toyota Lot
Texas-based Cowboy Toyota, represented by Kerrigan Advisors, sold its Dallas dealership to The CAR Group, which does business as Norm Reeves dealerships.
Cowboy Toyota, owned by Ron Schwartz, Bob Cannon, the Bohn Brothers and Tobias Fulton for the last 18 years, is located in the densely populated eastern portion of Dallas County.
“We are so grateful that Cowboy will be in the hands of another Texas-based family-owned business that will provide our employees with a great future in the car business,” said Schwartz.
The CAR Group, the 23rd largest US dealership group as ranked by Automotive News, is owned by the Conant family and features represents a collection of high-volume, award-winning retail automotive franchises operating under the “Norm Reeves” brand. The brand has franchises in southern California, north Texas and western Florida including Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Ford/Lincoln, VW, Subaru and Infiniti.
This transaction represents Kerrigan Advisors’ fourth Texas Toyota franchise and 18th Texas franchise sold since May 2023.
Patriot Auto Group Sells Oklahoma Dealership
Patriot Auto Group has sold a Chevrolet GMC in Oklahoma in a deal brokered by Performance Brokerage Services.
The Patriot Chevrolet GMC in Ardmore, OK ,was purchased by Jeremy Hodge. Hodge now oversees four dealership locations in Sallisaw and Ardmore, Oklahoma. Patriot Chevrolet GMC will be renamed Jeremy Hodge Chevrolet GMC and will remain at its current location at 1540 North Rockford Road in Ardmore.
Patriot Auto Group was founded in 2014 by Tatton Manning and has grown into a network of seven dealerships across Oklahoma. Tatton explained the decision to sell the dealership stated after s deal Performance Brokerage Services was part of last year.
“Following the purchase, Eric (Scott) reached out to me, and we decided to list our Chevrolet GMC store with him,” said Manning. “As this was our first sale, Eric and his team’s support were essential in guiding us through the process. Eric was great to work with and I appreciate his professionalism and patience.”
