Tampa, FLA – May 2, 2017 ─ Digital Dealer is proud to announce their first annual Digital Dealer charity auction netted a $10,000 donation to the local Tampa chapter of the Make-A-Wish foundation. The donation came in at a jaw-dropping $10,000, well above the initial goal of granting one child’s wish at $8,000, with the winning bidder receiving a 2016 Sea-Doo Spark watercraft, generously donated by Adesa and TradeRev.
“We felt compelled to add a charity portion to Digital Dealer so that we could use the event as a platform to shine light and raise funds for the very worthy charity, Make-a-Wish. It’s an honor to play a part in granting the wish of a child so deserving,” said David Southworth, Vice President, Digital Dealer.
A representative from the Tampa Make-a-Wish chapter spoke before the bidding began and shared the non-profit’s mission to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. She named Hawaii, Disneyland, and Disney Cruises as the top wishes granted through the organization, which helps children aged two and a half to 18 years old.
The winning bid came from Evie Hedy, Marketing Director of Advanced Business Computers of America, a globally recognized and locally respected company serving the subprime finance and automotive finance industries since 1983.
“We are from Jacksonville, Florida and receive information from the Make A Wish Foundation and are very aware of all the wonderful wishes this foundation has made possible. Knowing our Jacksonville Humane Society also is in need of some help with their cause and their new soon to be completed new building, I figured I could give the jet ski to them to raffle to help out our furry friends,” said Hedy.
