HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Proactive Dealers Solutions (PDS), the North American leader in Business Develop Center solutions, has announced the industry’s first employee performance and training platform integration with DMS providers CDK Global and DealerVault by Authenticom.
The integrations’ primary benefit for automotive retailers will be the ability to more accurately and robustly monitor and track sales and service performance of both processes and personnel at a more granular level and provide real-time, detailed information to dealership management.
Combined, the two major providers represent well over 70 percent of the marketplace, and marks the first integration with an employee performance and training solution provider.
“This integration will give us the ability to track sales and service growth in real time and then compare month-over-month, year-to-date, and year-over-year sales and service data with our clients,” said Jason Beckett, PDS General Manager. “You’ll be able to look at your dashboard and it will show you, ‘Here’s where you were. Here’s where you are now, and here’s where you are headed.’ But most importantly, our platform will help drive growth through real-time feedback and ongoing training and coaching.”
The integration will be seamless for PDS clients as all the software interfacing will be on the backend. The new system will be able to track sales and repair orders down to the agent level and deliver key performance indicators such as average gross profit per salesperson and average revenue per repair order per service advisor.
“Because of the how we’ve developed our BDC Central platform, underperforming service advisors, sales associates or agents will be given recommended training by our Biz Dev University through customized, micro-training,” Beckett added.
The systems integration will allow for the creation of leaderboards, which generate enthusiasm and collegial competition among the team members. It will also allow for better tracking of appointment setting, confirmations, shows, and no-show follow-ups.
“Setting and keeping appointments fulfilled is the best method for driving dealership showroom traffic,” Beckett added. “Instead of advertising and hoping the ‘Up Bus’ shows up, the best way to ensure consistent showroom traffic and service repair orders is to maximize appointments from inbound calls, internet leads, and outbound campaigns and follow-up. Our new integrations will allow us to facilitate this, track it, and find new ways to increase the number of appointments.”
This “appointment penetration” is crucial to dealership profitability and improved customer satisfaction, Beckett said, and will be a key performance indicator PDS will focus on in 2019.
“Our strategy is to create consistent, reliable traffic, and we can do this better through the integrations, which will help us create actionable reports, train team members, and help managers set goals and hold them accountable,” Beckett said.
Most BDC platforms today rely on manual entry of data, phone interactions, appointments, and follow-up conversations. BDC Central and its integration with a dealer’s DMS will allow for more automated reporting, and real-time alerts for managers. Beckett said automated inputs allow for fewer “holes” in the data, which improves the effectiveness of the entire platform and enables dealers to better service their customers.
