November Sales Pace at 17.20 Million-Unit Annual Rate, from F&I Magazine.
November new-vehicle sales increased 4.6% to 1,302,043 units. On a year-to-date basis, sales increased 5.4% to more than 15 million units sold through during the first 11 months of the year. November’s SAAR was 17.20 million units, up significantly from the 16.29 million-unit read in November 2013 and October’s 16.46 SAAR, according to figures from Autodata Corp. The following is a breakdown of sales performance by manufacturer:
BMW: In November, sales of BMWs dipped about 2.3% from a year ago, with dealers delivering 31,019 BMW-branded vehicles in November. Year-to-date sales of BMWs in 2014 were still 9.7% ahead of 2013 deliveries, with 298,212 units sold through the end of November.
For November, MINI reported 5,009 automobiles sold, an increase of 9.5% from the 4,575 sold in the same month a year ago. Year-to-date sales totaled of 49,497 units through November, a decrease of 17.4% from the 59,910 automobiles sold in the first eleven months of 2013.
