Palmen DCJ explains new and more efficient lighting system
RACINE, Wis., Dec. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Automotive dealers are quick to point out the advantages to the environment for purchasing its stock of highly fuel-efficient vehicles, but not as many are so quick to back up that sentiment in practice. Palmen Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Racine is one of the few dealers in southeastern Wisconsin that gladly practices what they preach. Believe it or not, one of the most effective ways automotive dealers show off their inventory is to literally shine some light on the subject. This was done on expansive sales lots with rows upon rows of lights. For years this was done using inefficient mercury-based lights, which obviously carry a number of risks.
Management at Palmen Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Racine decided there had to be a better way to light up the night covering their sales lot. A phone call to Wellcraft Electrical Contracting, Inc. and a partnership with Cree LED Lighting gave the dealership the exact solution they were looking for. LED lights are used for everything from flashlights to television sets. They require a low amount of energy to provide a huge amount of light and they have wonderfully long life. The electrical team worked to retrofit all of the existing infrastructure with the high-intensity LEDs that not only showed off the dealership’s inventory in a more flattering way, but increased safety by eliminating many dark spots throughout the lot.
