According to a story from the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit automakers have all gained significant market share this year, with Chrysler up the most, 25%. The story said this is the first time since 1988 that in one year all three, Chrysler, Ford and General Motors, have improved their market share. On the other end, both Toyota and Honda have lost market share, both down over 5% this year, the story said.
